A Pearl in the Storm: How I Found My Heart in the Middle of the Ocean
by Tori Murden McClure
Tori rowed a boat across the Atlantic. One and a half times. A man who ran a camp, who helped her find confidence and bearings when she was young, gathered counselors and staff who struggled. They were people who often didn’t quite fit, who had hurt places and holes in their lives. He cared. He shepherded.
I love the memory lane image. It acknowledges the past struggle. But his life, his passion, his ministry, his camp helped them find hope in service.
And let at least one of them row across the ocean alone. And finally find some peace.
