You wonder whether they will ever grow up, settle down, be helpful, be constructive.
However, at this moment, our fifteen-year-old daughter and nineteen-year-old son are painting their rooms. Willingly. In great colors.
Granted, our daughter has learned to paint by painting sets at school, and our son’s delightful girlfriend is helping him. But still. It is a wonderful moment.
I won’t think about the clean-up or finishing the edging or any of those things, because this afternoon, there is delight.
Maybe God feels this way when His kids are creative and cooperative.
