Script: Preparing for worship

Filed under: just musing, script concepts — Jon Swanson @ 4:15 pm

this comes from Bill Davenport and Matt Derby.

Paul writes, at the direction of the Holy Spirit, that everyone is to prepare something for the worship service. What would happen on a given Sunday if the pastor called on people to share what they have prepared. People who are not known as singers. People apparently at random.

Interesting illustration of the point.

Musings from Horace

Filed under: script concepts, video concepts — Jon Swanson @ 2:35 pm

After a banquet, Horace offered this note:

Conversations with a distant light
"In the valley, in the city, many lights, much fellowship. But off in the distance, in the fields and hills, distant lights, isolated hopes for weary travelers. What would one of those conversations be, the talking between the near light and the far?"

So what would the conversation be? Complete confusion? Perhaps both feeling proud of their locations, community vs independence? But then awareness of the lack of each…gluttony vs pride? But then the need for both interdependence and independence?

I don't know. What do you think?
